The Capitol Extension Open-Air Rotunda is patterned after the rotunda in the Capitol and has the same diameter, 60 ft. The design on the floor mirrors the Capitol rotunda ceiling. Bronze letters spell out the word "TEXAS," and surround a star which also functions as a drain.
