Erected 1961 by the membership of the Department of Texas, Veterans
of Foreign Wars.
Constructed
of Texas "Sunset Red" granite, and listing the barracks and auxiliaries
that participated in its erection, this monument is dedicated to
the memory of World War I veterans.
